All our TÉKIDÉ stabilisation mats are made in France, in our production unitlocated in Paris region. They are part of the circular economy, made from 100% recycled and recyclable raw materials sourced locally.
Designed to improve equine welfare and meet their basic needs (particularly outdoor living), TÉKIDÉ stabilisation panels are robust and easy to maintain.
They are resistant to heavy vehicles (e.g. farm machinery) and provide all the comfort horses and humans need.
As well as stabilising muddy areas, our mud control mats' reversibility means they can be used in a wide range of situations: stabilising the ground in an active stable, a paradise paddock or a horse track system, for example.
They can also be used to create a parking area, storage space, stabilised paths or accesses.
Finally, they can be used as a base for your riding areas: equestrian arenas, lunge rings, walkers, gallop tracks, etc.
TÉKIDÉ stabilisation slabs can be installed flat side up or filled with sand or gravel, depending on how they are to be used and the nature of the soil in which they are to be installed.
To find out more about our installation recommendations, please consult our installation guide, which can be downloaded from the ‘Technical data’ section of the product sheet.

ÉKI Shet mud control mats can be purchased online or collected from one of our collection points in France (only half pallets). You can see the list of our collection points here. If you are going to collect your stabiliser slabs, make sure you have a vehicle suitable for loading pallets (500kg/ half-pallet).
The tailgate is included for orders of up to 10 pallets. For larger orders, an unloading device is required (the transporter places the pallets at the foot of the lorry using a manual pallet truck).
For orders of 0.5 pallets to 7 pallets, your address must be accessible by 19-tonne truck.
For orders of 8 pallets or more and up to 29 pallets, your address must be accessible by 44-tonne truck.
For orders of 30 pallets or more, your address must be accessible by heavy goods vehicle.
Can TÉKIDÉ stabilisation mats be laid directly on the ground?
Yes, on stabilised ground, i.e. ground that is flat and load-bearing. On loose ground, we strongly recommend preparing the surface to be stabilised beforehand. This will greatly improve the quantity and durability of your installation.
Do not lay your stabilising mats on soft ground when the temperature is below 4°C, as the tiles will not anchor properly.
You can consult our installation advice by downloading our guide in the ‘Technical data’ section, just above this FAQ.
What uses are TÉKIDÉ stabilising tiles designed for?
Their reversibility means they can be used in a wide variety of ways. Stabilising muddy areas subject to trampling or heavy traffic (horses, pedestrians and vehicles), in particular:
- Winter paddocks, grassland
- Rack towers, watering areas
- Access roads, paddock entrances
- Car parks
Stabilisation of evolution areas:
- Active stables, paradise paddocks, team areas
Stabilising work areas :
- Riding arenas
- Training or competition tracks
- Walkers
- Lunging rings...
Do I need to prepare my floor before laying the mud control mats?
We strongly recommend it! A smooth floor will greatly enhance the quality and durability of your installation. We therefore advise you to level your floor if it is not stabilised, i.e. flat and load-bearing.
On a flat, even surface, laying your tiles will be easier and the quality of your installation will be enhanced.
You can consult our installation advice by downloading our guide in the ‘Technical data’ section, just above this FAQ.
Are TÉKIDÉ anti-mud slabs slippery?
The spikes on the top of our stabilisation mats are designed to slow down the movement of the hoof. As the surface is rigid, slipperiness cannot be ruled out, especially for shod horses. However, as horses live outdoors, there is always a risk of slipping on grass or any other surface.
To reduce this risk, we recommend that you cover your tiles with sand after laying them.
Can TÉKIDÉ stabilising mats be laid on a slope?
A slight slope is not a problem; on the contrary, it allows surface run-off. TÉKIDÉ stabilisation slabs are designed to be laid on any type of ground, which we advise you to prepare before laying the slabs.
If the area to be stabilised has a regular slope, the weight of our stabilising panels, the effectiveness of their fixing system and their anti-lift system mean that they remain effective, depending of course on the degree of the slope.
