Where do we manufacture each horse fence ?

ll our horse fences are made in France, in the factory of our manufacturer-partner, ÉKOFAB, which is part of the same group as TÉKIDÉ, with the eponymous name: Groupe ÉKOFAB

All our mobile fencesarena railsrunning rails and crowd barriers are manufactured at the group's workshops in Nangis, in Paris Region.

Like all the products that leave our factory, our range of TÉKIDÉ horse rails and barriers has the particularity of being the product of the circular economy. In other words, this equipment is designed (by our own design office) and manufactured according to the following principles:

  • Eco-design: when our engineers design an equestrian barrier, they take into account its impact on the environment, from the materials of which it is made right through to its end-of-life,
  • Local sourcing: we work with local partners and suppliers,
  • Use of recycled raw materials: 95% of our horse fences and rails are made from recycled materials and are fully recyclable,
  • Durability: our arena rails and rails for racecourses are designed to be resistant and only need to be replaced at the end of their life, i.e. after around 25 years.

All our equestrian rails, mobile fences with two rails and three railsPVC arena rails and gooseneck fences are designed and manufactured in-house. This range of products, including mobile fencing, is of the highest quality and fits perfectly into any stable.

You can also use our mobile fencing as a gate or to frame a gate, at the entrance to your arena for example.

We choose to limit the number of middlemen, which allows us to maintain our independence, choose our suppliers, innovate freely and rapidly and, last but not least, control our margins to offer you the fairest prices. This also enables us to keep a tight rein on our supplies, and to benefit from permanent stock availability.

What is the difference between PVC horse rails and wooden arena fencing?

Eco-responsible, safe, easy.

Our arena railsracing railscrowd barriers and mobile fences and are made from 95% recycled raw materials and are fully recyclable.

ÉKOFAB, the manufacturing unit of the group to which TÉKIDÉ belongs, has been designing and manufacturing equestrian equipment for over 50 years.

This expertise in the design of equestrian fences and in the world of horses means that today we can offer stable equipment that combines all the features needed for riding in the best possible conditions:

  • Resilience: to absorb shocks in the event of a fall or impact on the rail (it happens), which is not possible with wood,
  • Resistance: so that it doesn't break if a rider or horse bangs into the arena fence.

These qualities make it possible to delimit your training or competition arenas in the safest possible way. Our solutions for equestrian arenas are also ‘horse friendly’, meaning they are designed without metal. There's no metal in the rails or posts. Falling on recycled PVC that contains no steel is less painful than falling on wood. Rider's word.

Our mobile fences are also adaptable to their users: available with 2 or 3 rails, you can choose the rail height that best suits your use (depending on the size of the horses or ponies, for example). The centre-to-centre distance of the TÉKIDÉ mobile barrier is 2 metres.

We have also chosen white for our rails. White is the colour that horses see best, as shown by this study carried out by the BHA. This makes it easier for the horse to respect the fences and can prevent the rider from falling.

Finally, TÉKIDÉ equestrian fences are treated to resist UV rays. So they can be installed in Alaska or the Sahara. Or wherever you are indeed.

Maintenance and upkeep of TÉKIDÉ equestrian fencing is almost non-existent.

  • Horses don't eat them,
  • They contain no chemicals that are necessary for their maintenance and durability,
  • They are very, very easy to maintain. A quick wipe down and you're done.

With this horse-friendly barrier, you've got quality material for your stable that's easy to connect thanks to its fixing system.

To sum up, if we had to choose between the same type of wooden fence and our own, it's obviously recycled PVC that would win the day, with its combination of safety, eco-design and ease of use.

In fact, TÉKIDÉ mobile fencescrowd barriers and arena rails, along with several products from our fencing range, that was chosen by the Haras du Pin to equip its brand new facilities, which welcomed the best European eventing horses in 2023. Our barrier is up to the challenge of this type of event! The ÉKI Arena 2 rails fencewas chosen to equip Tokyo Olympics equestrian arena.

As far as stock is concerned, there's no problem on our side, as we work closely with the manufacturer. As for the aesthetics, we think it's classy. But that's subjective :).

What equipment should you choose to secure your paddock?

Are you organising an equestrian competition and want to use the other part of your arena as a paddock? Or divide a large pasture into several areas?

Mobile fences, available in two rails or three rails versions are ideal for separating the competition area from the paddock. They are removablelightweight and easy to move. Designed without hardware, the finish of this fence makes it a high-quality product, more robust and safer than a separation made with wires and wooden stakes, for example.

The TÉKIDÉ arena divider combines the following features:

  • Easy to handle, lightweight and stable,
  • Versatile use, whether temporary or permanent,
  • Interconnectable elements for secure closure.

This solution lets you create customised areas to suit your needs. It brings a touch of class and aesthetics to competitions, or all year round in your equestrian centre.

Our 2-rail and 3-rail fences are also ideal for fencing off your paddocks. Unlike wooden fences, they last an extremely long time, and require no maintenance or addition of potentially polluting products. And horses won't nibble them. And unlike fences made of electric wire and posts, you won't have to replace them.

Safety is an essential factor here too. Our horse fences, like all our PVC rail, are ‘horse friendly’. Our design engineers have designed this equestrian equipment to be as safe as possible for users:

  • No steel or metal, either in the rails or in the fence posts,
  • Rounded profiles to avoid any edges and limit the risks in the event of a fall,
  • A lightweight, resilient unit that absorbs shocks while remaining strong,
  • Different rail heights depending on the type of fence chosen.

In short, to create a paddock when you're organising a horse show, TÉKIDÉ mobile fences are a practical solution that's safer than an equivalent wooden product and looks great too.

The 2-rail fences and 3-rail fences are a durable, maintenance-free solution for delimiting paddocks or free-range areas for your horses.
